Tiësto

Tiësto plays Blackstone Street Warehouse in Liverpool on Saturday 12 December, with the set starting at 14:00. It's a daytime slot, so if you're not used to dance music in the middle of the afternoon, it's worth keeping in mind.

For those who only know the name, Tiësto is a Dutch DJ who built his reputation on a particular brand of pumping, dynamic trance. He's one of the big names of that era, and his sets are described as an aural journey that must be heard to be believed. He was voted number one in DJ Magazine's prestigious poll for three consecutive years, which gives you a sense of where he sits in the world of dance music.

It's just him on the bill, so the whole afternoon is built around his set. If you've followed him for a while, you'll know the sound he's known for; if you're coming in fresh, it's a good place to start with the trance side of things. Tickets start from £65.70, and with the 14:00 start, it's a daytime one rather than a late-night shift.
