A comedy show for all ages featuring stupid sketches, crazy characters and an interactive talent show, perfect for families.
The Seriously Stupid Crew open their new show, The Seriously Stupid Show, at Unity Theatre on Saturday 17 October. It's a comedy for all ages, built around stupid sketches, crazy characters and interactive daftness, and it runs for about 90 minutes with an interval. The grand finale is The Seriously Stupid Talent Show, where every child in the audience gets a stage of their own.
The crew behind it is Robert Rhys Bond, Liam Hale, Jen Hardy, Lee Hithersay and Alice Rowbottom, who wrote and devised the show as a company. They call themselves 'Liverpool's favourite professional idiots' and have built this one on the back of Rubbish Shakespeare Company, Silly History Boys and the Liverpool Improv Festival. They describe the whole thing as 'like Vic and Bob meets the Muppets', and it's billed for ages 6 to 106, so it works as a family outing. Critics have called it 'outstanding', 'a rare and genuine delight' and 'the perfect show to go to as a family'.
