The Harlem Globetrotters play the Washington Generals in the 2027 Rivalry Tour, pairing elite basketball with comedy and crowd interaction.
The Harlem Globetrotters are back at the M&S Bank Arena on Thursday 25 February 2027, as part of their 2027 Rivalry Tour. They'll be taking on the Washington Generals, the rivals they've been playing for decades, in a game that pairs elite basketball with comedy and crowd interaction.
If you're not familiar with the history, the Globetrotters are basketball's most legendary and popular team. They played their first game in 1926 and have contested more than 20,000 games over the eight decades that followed. The squad is made up of some of the best professional athletes in the world, and over the years it's produced names like Meadowlark Lemon, Curly Neal, Goose Tatum, Marques Haynes and 'Sweet' Lou Dunbar. They also hold the highest winning percentage of any professional sports team.
The 2027 Rivalry Tour is part of the team's global centennial celebrations, marking a hundred years since that first game. The Washington Generals are celebrating 75 years as the Globetrotters' ultimate rivals, and they're coming with a fresh lineup of challengers. Every game includes five interactive challenges that feed into a season-long tally of Rivalry Points, with the crowd helping to decide them and fans invited onto the court to get involved.
