Stand-up comedy show by Sue Perkins about stigma, humiliation and misunderstanding, sharing stories from behind the television cameras.
Sue Perkins brings her stand-up show The Eternal Shame of Sue Perkins to the Everyman Playhouse on Wednesday 3 March 2027. Most of us know her as 'Bake-Off' Sue, 'Taskmaster' Sue, 'Just A Minute' Sue, or the Sue who gives you travel envy, but this one is a bit different from the TV work. She's turning her stand-up to stigma, humiliation and misunderstanding, and the stories come from behind the cameras.
It's a good length of a night, too. The show runs about an hour and 50 minutes including the interval, so it's more of a full evening than a quick set. It's recommended for ages 16 and over, which is worth keeping in mind if you're thinking of bringing anyone younger. The reviews have been strong: critics have called it 'heart-warming' and 'intimate and raw', with The Telegraph giving it four stars and both The Times and the Mail on Sunday awarding it four out of five.
