Family disco and house night with fancy dress, headlined by Mischievous at Reds in Liverpool.
State of Mind: Future Sounds is bringing a family day to Reds on Friday 30 October, with this particular session called Mischievous. It's part of their wider Future Sounds programme, so it's one of several dates they're running rather than a one-off. The music is billed as disco and house, and the whole thing is pitched as a family day, so it's meant to be something you can bring the kids along to rather than a late-night clubber's affair.
Fancy dress is encouraged, which fits the Mischievous name and the run-up to Halloween. It's described as an audience-friendly atmosphere, so if you're not usually one for the dancefloor, this is a softer way into it. The disco and house side of things means it's more about the groove and the beat than anything too heavy, and the family day framing keeps it accessible.
Reds is over at 26 Exchange Street East, L2 3PH, in the city centre. It's a good spot if you're coming from other parts of Liverpool, easy enough to get to and close to plenty of other things. The session starts at 14:00 on Friday 30 October and runs through to Saturday 31 October, so it's a long one that stretches across two days rather than a single afternoon.

Entry is between £0 and £5, so it's cheap enough to just turn up and see how you get on. Between the disco and house, the fancy dress, and the family-friendly setup, it's a fairly straightforward afternoon of dancing in the city centre. Doors open at 14:00 on Friday 30 October at Reds, 26 Exchange Street East, L2 3PH.
