Christmas-themed wine tasting with six wines paired for the Christmas season, held in the private hire space of Duke Street Food & Drink Market.
Spilt Wine are hosting a tasting session called It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like... at Duke Street Food & Drink Market on Wednesday 18 November, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It's run by GSG Hospitality and leans right into the Christmas season — the one that seems to arrive earlier every year — and pitches itself as a relaxed, no-snobbery affair. They describe it as less a strict classroom and more like the cool friend who knows a fair few useless facts.
Six wines are poured over the course of the evening, framed as the perfect pairing for avoiding the Christmas shopping. The aim is for you to leave with enough wine knowledge to impress your colleagues at the office Christmas party, without having to spend weeks studying it first. It's a tasting that doesn't take itself too seriously, so it works as well if you're a complete beginner as if you already know your way around a bottle.
The tasting takes place in the market's private hire space, The Terrace, which is inside Duke Street Food & Drink Market at 46 Duke Street, L1 5AS. It's worth knowing that The Terrace is accessible only via a staircase and there's no lift, so keep that in mind if you're planning your night. The evening also comes with 20% off food and drink from the market's six independent kitchens, so you can easily turn the tasting into a full meal with a few different things from the stalls.
