Candlelit sound bath with crystal bowls and gongs, combined with Reiki healing and storytelling, led by Beverley Jones at The Old Library.
The Old Library in Old Swan is hosting a candlelit sound bath combined with Reiki healing and storytelling on Wednesday 18 November, run by ADHD Support Services CIC. It's led by Beverley Jones, who works under the name Emerald Waya.
The session takes place in the Reading Room, and the whole thing is built around the room's acoustics: the sound of crystal bowls and gongs echoes around the space, so you're lying in it rather than just listening to it. The Reiki healing and the storytelling run alongside that, with the candles keeping the lights low throughout. It's a slow-paced evening, and the organisers describe it as a chance to slow down and reconnect without needing to meditate or empty your mind.
ADHD Support Services CIC pitch it as particularly suited to people with ADHD, anxiety, stress or overwhelm, so if that sounds like your usual state of things, this is aimed at you. You don't need to have any experience with sound baths or Reiki to get into it, and there's no pressure to clear your head or hit some specific mental state—you just lie back and let the sound do the work.
