Live show by Nottingham power-trio Sharp Class, headlining the Kazimier Stockroom on Seel Street on their 'Faith In The Brakes' tour.
Sharp Class play Kazimier Stockroom on Saturday 7 November, part of their Faith In The Brakes tour. They're a British power-trio from Nottingham, and this is their Liverpool date on the run.
On stage it's three: Oliver Orton on guitar and vocals, Billy Woodfield on bass and vocals, and Declan Mills on drums. They've built their sound around a few distinct touchstones — The Clash, The Who and The Specials — and they pull from punk, soul, power-pop, Brit-pop and rock 'n' roll. It's a fair bit to fit into one set, and you can hear the different threads running through it: the punk energy, the soul influence, and the pop hooks all working together rather than fighting for space.
That sound is what they put on their debut album, Tales Of A Teenage Mind, which came out in 2023. The Liverpool show is one stop on the Faith In The Brakes tour, so you'll be hearing the band as a live unit rather than just the record. With the power-trio format, there's nowhere for anyone to hide — just guitar, bass, drums and vocals.
