Rachel Chinouriri presents her new album 'I think I spoke too soon' at Jacaranda Baltic in Liverpool.
Rachel Chinouriri is playing Jacaranda Baltic on Friday 23 October, an album launch presented by Jacaranda Records. The night is built around her new record, I think I spoke too soon, and the set will be the first time it's played in full.
Chinouriri is a singer-songwriter whose sound sits at the crossroads of remedial alt-pop and indie-folk. The songs lean into the personal, touching on mental health struggles, toxic relationships and the particular ache of an old flame moving on. It's the kind of writing that doesn't shy away from the messy parts of things, and she's built a reputation for her live performances — The Guardian named her one to watch.
Because this is an album launch, the evening is centred on the new material. I think I spoke too soon is the record she's touring, and the show is the first chance to hear it played through from start to finish. The night is presented by Jacaranda Records, the label behind the release.
