Family Halloween adventure where children become Pumpkin Collectors, meet the Six Pumpkin Guardians, decorate pumpkins in The Pumpkin Workshop and play games with the Queen of PumpkinFest.
PumpkinFest takes over Fletcher's Garden at Allerton Manor Golf Club on Saturday 24 October, turning the grounds into a quest-based Halloween adventure. Every child who comes along is named an 'Official Pumpkin Collector' and handed a Collector's Pack — a drawstring backpack with an adventure map, a trail card, seed tokens, gummy treats and a colouring book. From there, they set off across the garden to find the Six Pumpkin Guardians: Rumi, a K-Pop Demon Hunter; Jack Skellington; Wednesday Addams; Elphaba; Franken-Hulk; and the Michael Jackson Thriller Zombie. Meeting each one earns them a magical pumpkin, and by the end, they've built their own Pumpkin Family.
Once the pumpkins are all collected, the action moves into The Pumpkin Workshop. Instead of carving, the pumpkins are decorated with exclusive Guardian sticker packs, so there are no knives involved — a handy detail if you're bringing younger ones. The Queen of PumpkinFest adds live singing, dancing and interactive games to the mix, and prizes go to the best-dressed Pumpkin Collectors, so there's a good reason to put the costumes on before you leave the house. When the quest is done, families can stay on and eat at Fletcher's Kitchen & Bar.
