Stage version of the 2007 horror film, with illusions by Chris Fisher, following a couple plagued by an unseen force.
Paranormal Activity is coming to the Liverpool Empire Theatre from 27 April to 1 May 2027, bringing the 2007 horror phenomenon to the stage as a live theatrical experience. The original film reinvigorated the horror genre when it first came out, following a couple, James and Lou, plagued by a malevolent unseen force, told through found-footage. This stage version is an original story by Levi Holloway and Felix Barrett, and it arrives in Liverpool following a sell-out West End run.
Felix Barrett is the founder and artistic director of Punchdrunk and the director of the international hit Sleep No More, so there's a strong immersive pedigree behind this. The production leans on illusions by Chris Fisher, who has worked on Derren Brown's stage shows and Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, and it was nominated for a 2026 Olivier Award for Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play.
