Premier League match between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield.
Liverpool take on Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday 22 November, kick-off at 16:30 GMT. It's one of those fixtures that carries a weight far beyond a single set of three points, with the rivalry between the two clubs stretching across domestic and European honours. The wider sporting rivalry between the cities of Liverpool and Manchester makes their meetings some of the most closely followed in English football, and Anfield adds its own dimension to the mix — the noise, the history and the expectations make it one of the highest-profile home dates on Liverpool's calendar.
There's a bit of a score to settle here, too. Manchester United won both league encounters between the clubs in 2025/26. The first was a 2-1 at Anfield in October 2025, with Harry Maguire scoring the late winner. The second came at Old Trafford in May 2026, a 3-2 win for United with Kobbie Mainoo as the decisive scorer. So, Liverpool head into this one having dropped both league games to their rivals last season.
