Free online safety briefing for professionals working with children and young people, delivered by SWGfL.
Online Safety Live comes to the Lecture Theatre at Liverpool Innovation Park on Thursday 28 January 2027, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. It's a two-hour session, and it's free to attend.
Online Safety Live is a programme of briefings delivered across the UK by SWGfL (South West Grid for Learning), a charitable trust and partner of the UK Safer Internet Centre. It's run exclusively for professionals who work with children and young people, so it's aimed at people in schools, early years, local authorities, the police and charities. The sessions are short, high-impact briefings run in partnership with local safeguarding and school-improvement organisations, and they cover emerging online risks, legislation updates and cutting-edge technology trends.
SWGfL are pioneers in online safety, and they also provide expert advice to governments and develop award-winning safety tools. This programme sits alongside the Centre's wider offering of low-cost Online Safety Clinics on topics like filtering and monitoring requirements, AI in education, intimate image abuse and sextortion. If you go, you'll get free access to the presentation, resources and research after the event, so you've got something to take back to your team.
