Interactive murder mystery event where you solve the crime as a master detective, set in 1958 Hollywood.
DBY Interactive are bringing Murder Mystery: Its beginning to look alot like… Murder to the Everyman Theatre on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December. It's an interactive murder mystery, so you're not just watching from your seat — you're playing the part of a master detective and solving the crime as it unfolds. The whole thing is set in 1958 Hollywood, and it's a Christmas-themed one, so it fits the time of year.
The story centres on the 5th Annual Variety Show, a musical extravaganza raising money for The L.A. Children's Hospital. It's hosted by Anna-May White and Richie Russo, with rat-pack sensation Leo Alberta taking to the stage. Behind the glitz and glamour, though, there's a dark history lurking, and the night turns into an evening of live music and murder. It's a musical show, so there's a fair bit of singing involved alongside the mystery.
It runs for two and a half hours, including an interval, and it's recommended for ages 12 and over. If you're planning to go, there are two dates to choose from: Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December, both starting at 7:30pm. On Saturday, there's also an afternoon tea version running alongside the evening show.
