Theatrical world premiere of the Midsomer Murders whodunnit, adapted by Guy Unsworth, with Daniel Casey as Inspector Barnaby.
Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger's Drift opens at Everyman & Playhouse Theatres on Tuesday 6 July, running through to Saturday 10 July. It's the theatrical world premiere of the whodunnit, adapted by Guy Unsworth from Caroline Graham's book and the ITV series. The story starts in the village of Badger's Drift, where spinster Emily Simpson is found dead; her friend Lucy Bellringer refuses to accept it was an accident, and that's what brings in DCI Tom Barnaby and Sergeant Gavin Troy.
There's a nice bit of history to the casting here. Daniel Casey, who created the role of Sergeant Troy in the ITV series, returns to the world of Midsomer, but this time he's stepping up to play Inspector Tom Barnaby. The production is staged by Nicholson Green Productions and Colin Ingram Ltd, and it runs for two hours and twenty minutes, including an interval. It's recommended for ages 12 and over.
