Festive concert of sacred and non-sacred choral music by the Liverpool Cathedral Girls Choir and Scholars, including Bob Chilcott's '12 Days of Christmas'.
The Liverpool Cathedral Girls Choir and Scholars are back at The Tung Auditorium on Wednesday 9 December, their first return to the venue since they performed Britten's Ceremony of Carols there last year. This time they're bringing the choir's adult Choral Scholars along with them, so it's the girls' voices joined by the scholars for a full programme of festive sacred and non-sacred choral music.
At the heart of the set is Bob Chilcott's 12 Days of Christmas, a modern take on the old song that sits alongside a wider mix of Christmas music from both the sacred and secular traditions. It's a lunchtime concert, so it's a good one to slot into a working day rather than a whole evening out.
The performance is part of the Yoko Ono Lennon Lunchtime Concert Series, which is supported by Spirit Foundations. The venue is The Tung Auditorium, inside the University of Liverpool's Foundation Building at 765 Brownlow Hill, L6 9ZX.
