Annual meeting of the Liverpool and North West Surgical Society with keynote speakers, learning sessions and networking for surgeons and trainees.
The Liverpool and North West Surgical Society is holding its annual meeting on Friday 11 December at The Hilton, Liverpool City Centre, 3 Thomas Steers Way, L1 8LW. It's a full-day affair, running from 8:15 am right through to 11:00 pm, so it'll take up most of your Friday.
The day is built around surgical consultants and trainees from across the Mersey and the wider North West coming together to showcase and share their work. There's a programme of keynote speakers, and the rest of the time is for exchanging ideas and experiences with colleagues from across the region. The organisers describe it as a must-attend date for the area's surgical community, with a full day of learning, discussion and networking.
Because it's an annual meeting, it's as much about the people as the presentations. You'll find consultants and trainees from the local hospitals and the broader North West in one room, so it's a good chance to catch up with people you might only see in passing during a normal working week. The keynote speakers provide the structured part of the day, while the networking fills in the gaps.
