Leo Sayer brings his hit-packed show 'Can't Stop Loving You' to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall for his final full UK tour.
Leo Sayer plays the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Saturday 7 November, part of what he's calling his final full UK tour. He's been on the road for nearly 60 years, and he's quick to make one thing clear: he isn't retiring, just slowing down the number of live shows he does. These days he's based in Australia, where he says he's busier and in more demand than ever, so this is one of the few times he'll be back on this side of the world.
It's a long career to look back on. He's got more than twenty top-ten singles and five top-ten albums over more than 40 years, and he's held in high esteem as both a live performer and a recording artist across all age groups. But there's a fair bit more to the story than his own hits. He's written for Roger Daltrey, Cliff, Three Dog Night, Tina Turner, Gene Pitney, Jennifer Warnes, and both Stella and Dolly Parton. He's also popped up with the Muppets, the Wiggles, and on the Charlie's Angels soundtrack. He'll be on stage with his band, and they're promising a high-energy, hit-packed evening.

There's a bit of new material around him this year, too. He's written an autobiography, Just A Boy, and a career-spanning CD box set is due out. If you've followed him for years, those two together give a decent summary of where he's come from. The gig itself starts at 19:30, and tickets start from £45.20, which includes the booking fee.
