Jimmy Carr brings his new stand-up show 'Killing Jokes', with all new material, to the Liverpool Empire Theatre.
Jimmy Carr is coming to the Liverpool Empire on Saturday 22 January 2028, with two shows on the one night. It's part of his Killing Jokes tour, and the Liverpool date is one of the stops on his UK and Ireland run.
Killing Jokes is billed as Carr's brand new live show, and the main thing to know is that it's performed with all new material. If you've seen his previous tours, this isn't a best-of or a run of the old favourites; it's a fresh set of jokes, so you'll be hearing things he hasn't been working through on stage before. It's a proper new show, not a tweak of the last one.
Carr is the sole name on the bill, so it's just him up there for the full set. He's known for a very particular styleโsharp, fast, and often leaning into the more provocative side of stand-upโand Killing Jokes follows that same line. The title itself gives you a fair idea of the tone he's going for.

There are two performances on the night, one at 19:00 and another at 21:30, so you can pick the time that works best for you. Both are at the Liverpool Empire, right in the city centre.
