The Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning Broadway musical about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, with all their hits, at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.
Jersey Boys plays at the Liverpool Empire Theatre from Monday 19 July to Saturday 24 July 2027. It's the Broadway show that follows Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons from the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The story centres on four working-class guys whose harmonies became an international sensation, and it's as much about their off-stage story as the music.
The show runs in four parts, with each cast member taking an act to tell their side of it. The score pulls in the hits: 'Sherry' and 'Big Girls Don't Cry' alongside 'Walk Like A Man', 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You', 'Beggin'' and 'December, 1963 (Oh What a Night)'. It's a good way to hear the songs you know in the order they actually happened.
It debuted on Broadway in 2005 and won four Tonys, including Best Musical, before heading to London, where it's now on its third major revival. The book is by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. Des McAnuff directed it and Sergio Trujillo did the choreography. Since it first opened, it's picked up 65 major awards and been seen by over 30 million people worldwide.
