Family Halloween day at Aintree with pony races, the Old Roan Chase and a Huntrix tribute act.
Aintree Racecourse is hosting its Halloween Family Day on Sunday 25 October, a day of racing and entertainment in Liverpool. The main event on the card is The Old Roan Chase, which has been a part of Aintree's autumn calendar since 2004. It's run on the Mildmay Course, and because it comes early in the season, it's often one of the first times you'll see some of the sport's leading chasers back in action.
The race has a decent history behind it, too. Monet's Garden won it three times, and other winners include Kauto Star, Frodon and Hitman, so it's a race that's attracted some of the biggest names in National Hunt racing. It's a good way to welcome the return of jumps racing to the home of the Randox Grand National.
Between the races, there's a bit more on than just the horses. Huntrix, a tribute act, will be performing hits from 'KPop Demon Hunters', with a meet and greet after the show. The day's charity partner is Little Lights Baby Hospice.
