Free information event: Listen to your heart

Spire Liverpool Hospital is hosting a free patient information evening on heart and circulatory health on Wednesday 21 October, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. It's called Listen to your heart, and it's run by Professor Jay Wright, a Consultant Cardiologist at the hospital. The whole thing is free to attend, so you don't need to worry about a ticket price.

It's an interactive session rather than a formal lecture, and Professor Wright will be covering the common heart health concerns that come up in his practice. He'll go through the risk factors to be aware of, the symptoms to look out for, and the latest diagnostic and treatment options. Because it's an interactive format, there's a relaxed environment to ask questions as you go, so you can get a direct answer to whatever's on your mind rather than just listening to a presentation.

It's aimed at a few different groups: people with concerns about their own heart health, those with a family history of heart disease, or anyone who simply wants to learn more about keeping their heart healthy. The evening is part of Spire Healthcare's wider programme of free health talks and mini consultations, which are designed to give patients access to the hospital's consultants to learn about common conditions and available treatment options and to speak to them directly.
