Emeli Sandé celebrates 15 years of her debut album 'Our Version of Events' with a live concert at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
Emeli Sandé is playing the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Monday 15 February 2027, and the night is built around her debut album, Our Version of Events. If you've got a soft spot for that record, this is the one to keep on your radar.
It's a big anniversary for the album, which came out in 2012. It went on to be the biggest-selling album in the UK that year, and the second biggest in 2013, selling more than 5.4 million copies worldwide and picking up eight platinum certifications across the UK and Ireland. It won British Album of the Year at the 2013 BRIT Awards, and the lead single, 'Next to Me', took home two Ivor Novello Awards. One of the more lasting bits of trivia is that it spent 66 consecutive weeks in the UK Official Albums Chart Top 10 — a record for the longest unbroken Top 10 run by a debut album, ahead of The Beatles' Please, Please Me.
Sandé herself has a fair bit of ground behind her since then. She's won four BRIT Awards, including Best Female twice, and was awarded an MBE for services to music in 2018. In 2019, she became Chancellor of the University of Sunderland. Along the way, she's worked with Rihanna, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar, Nile Rodgers and Jools Holland, and she performed at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
