Live show by Daytime TV, the Liverpool band formed in 2020, at The Quarry, presented by Out of Phase and for over-18s only.
Daytime TV play The Quarry on Wednesday 28 October, with the show starting at 7:00 pm. It's presented by Out of Phase, and the night runs for around four hours, so it's a long one rather than a quick set. One thing to keep in mind before you book: it's for over-18s only.
For those who haven't come across them, Daytime TV is a band that grew out of the turbulence of 2020. The line-up is Will Irvine, Chris Clark, Gareth Thompson and John Caddick. They've spent the last few years building up a sizeable fanbase, and for a while now that crowd has been waiting for the first proper releases to arrive. That's where the new record comes in: they've recorded their debut album with Romesh Dodangoda, a Grammy-nominated producer, so the material they've been working on is finally coming together into something you can actually hear.
Between the four-hour runtime and the debut album on the horizon, this is a night that gives the band plenty of room to stretch out. If you've been following them since they started, it's a chance to hear where they've landed after a few years in the making. If you're coming to them fresh, it's a good place to get a proper sense of what they do.
