Culture Club play the M&S Bank Arena with special guests ABC and Haircut 100 on their UK arena tour 'The Singles Tour'.
Culture Club bring their The Singles Tour to the M&S Bank Arena on Friday 11 December, one of nine UK dates. The set is built around the band's string of hit singles, with 'Karma Chameleon', 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me', 'Time (Clock of the Heart)', 'Church of the Poison Mind', 'Miss Me Blind' and 'I'll Tumble 4 Ya' all on the list. They're joined by special guests ABC and Haircut 100, so it's a full bill of 80s pop rather than just the headliners.
Boy George and Culture Club first shot to international stardom in the 1980s, when they became one of the UK's biggest exports of the 20th century. They exploded onto the scene in 1982 and changed popular culture, shifting perceptions in music, fashion and art. In 1984 they won the Grammy for Best New Artist, as well as Best British Group and Best British Single at the BRIT Awards. They were the first group since The Beatles to have three Top 10 hits in America from a debut album, and the first group in music history to have an album certified diamond in Canada.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, the Grammy Award winners have played on a global scale, and this tour brings them back to the UK arena circuit. The Liverpool date is part of a nine-stop run, and the setlist focuses on the songs that made them a household name. ABC and Haircut 100 open the night, so the whole evening stays within that same era of pop.
