Live show by singer-songwriter Courtney Hadwin, with support from MUDDI BROOKE, at The Jacaranda in Liverpool.
Courtney Hadwin plays The Jacaranda on Thursday 3 December, with support from Muddi Brooke. If you've come across her name before, it's likely from America's Got Talent season 13 back in 2018. She was thirteen at the time, and her cover of Otis Redding's 'Hard to Handle' went viral, racking up more than 310 million views. Judge Howie Mandel gave her the Golden Buzzer and compared her voice to Janis Joplin — a comparison that's stuck with her ever since.
That's not the only stage she's known from. Before the US, she reached the finals of The Voice Kids in the UK, and she originally signed to Simon Cowell's Syco and Arista Records before stepping back to go a more independent route. Her music pulls from rock, soul and blues, and she's cited Tina Turner, Etta James, James Brown and Amy Winehouse as influences. She recorded her debut album, Little Miss Jagged, with Grammy-winning producer Kevin Bowe in Minneapolis, and has played Carnegie Hall and in Las Vegas.

It's a long way from those early TV appearances, and this is a proper live set rather than a competition performance. Muddi Brooke opens the night, so there's two acts on the bill. The Jacaranda is at 21-23 Slater Street, L1 4BW, and the show starts at 7:00 PM. Tickets are £16.00.
