The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Anthony Weeden, plays festive film classics with vocals from Gary Williams.
The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra are back at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Friday 11 December for Christmas at the Movies, a night of festive film songs. It's a big-band Christmas, with the orchestra pairing big-band brilliance and symphonic splendour for a programme of tunes drawn from Christmas movies.
Legendary vocalist Gary Williams returns to Hope Street to lead the orchestra through the set, and he's joined by vocalist Emma Kershaw. The repertoire pulls from some of the most recognisable festive films: 'All I Want for Christmas' from Love Actually, 'Let it Snow!' from Elf, and 'Winter Wonderland' from The Holiday, alongside 'It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year' and 'White Christmas'.
Conducting the evening is Anthony Weeden, and BSL interpretation is provided by Amy Lawson. If you need a seat with a clear view of the interpreter, you'll need to book that in advance by phone or email.
