Big Fat Xmas Quiz

The Big Fat Xmas Quiz kicks off at Boxpark Liverpool on Thursday 3 December, and it's not just a one-off — it runs every Thursday through to 17 December, so you've got a few weeks to get a team together. It's the festive makeover of the venue's usual weekly quiz, which swaps its normal format for Christmas-themed questions. The rounds cover festive classics, iconic films, music, traditions and festive facts, and it's not all trivia — there are ridiculous challenges, games, prizes and a fair bit of festive chaos mixed in.

If you haven't been, the quiz is known as the Big Fat Quizbox and it's built around smartphone-style speed quizzing, with special guest hosts on the mic. The winning team takes home a £50 bar tab, which is a decent enough prize to make the competitive side of things worth it.

As for the venue, Boxpark Liverpool is a street food and events space in the Baltic Triangle, the city's cultural and creative hub. It opened in April 2024 as the first Boxpark outside London, taking over the historic Canning Hall at Cains Brewery Village, and it can hold up to 1,500 people, so it's a big room that works well for a group night out. Being a street food spot, it's easy enough to grab something to eat and drink while you're there.

The quiz starts at 19:00 on Thursdays from 3 to 17 December, with tickets from £5.00 booked via Skiddle.
