Free live music gig by Beechy & Friends with Disco Doyenne at Freeze HiFi in Liverpool.
Beechy & Friends are playing Freeze HiFi in Liverpool on Thursday 29 October, with Disco Doyenne on the bill too. It's a mid-week one, so it's a good shout if you're after something to do on a Thursday night rather than waiting for the weekend.
The night is billed as Beechy & Friends with Disco Doyenne, and that's the whole of it: Beechy and his rotating cast of collaborators sharing the stage with Disco Doyenne. If you've caught them before, you'll know the format—Beechy brings together a shifting line-up of musicians, so the sound changes depending on who's in the room on the night. Disco Doyenne joins in on this one, and the two acts together make up the full bill for the evening.
It's all happening at Freeze HiFi, one of the city's smaller, more focused spaces, which suits a night like this. It's a live music gig, not a club night, so the focus is on the stage and the people playing. If you're familiar with Beechy's approach, you know the 'Friends' part of the name is where the variety comes from, and having Disco Doyenne on the bill adds another layer to the mix.
