Live gig by Montreal artist Annie-Claude DeschĂȘnes with Liverpool gothic alt-pop trio The DSM IV at Future Yard.
Annie-Claude DeschĂȘnes plays Future Yard on Friday 23 October, with the Liverpool trio The DSM IV supporting. It's a standing show, so you'll be on your feet for the night.
DeschĂȘnes comes from Montreal, where she's been a fixture of the city's independent music scene for twenty years. Over that time she's worn almost every hat there is: frontwoman, singer, musician, songwriter, performer and visual artist. Most of that work has been with the cult bands Duchess Says and PyPy, but her solo project, LES MANIĂRES DE TABLE, takes things in a different direction. It's a cooler, dystopian-disco sound that produced a full album in 2024 and the single 'Main de Fer' in 2025, so there's recent material to draw from.
Supporting her is The DSM IV, a Liverpool gothic alt-pop trio fronted by singer McKnight. Between them, that's a fair bit of ground to cover in one night: DeschĂȘnes' Montreal-born disco and the local gothic pop of The DSM IV. It's a standing show, so you'll be on your feet for both sets.
