Three-hour tasting menu experience led by chef Andrew Sheridan in the heart of 8 Kitchen, with a cookbook for two.
Restaurant 8 is running a kitchen table experience in Liverpool, and it's built around chef Andrew Sheridan. If you've come across his name before, it's probably from Great British Menu, the BBC show where he first made a name for himself as a bit of a maverick, known for dishes that lean into nostalgic memories. This is his home turf, and the whole thing is led by him.
The experience is exactly what the name suggests: a tasting menu created and served directly in front of you, right in the heart of the 8 kitchen. You're not tucked away in a dining room; you're watching the process happen as it goes. It takes around three hours for two people, so it's a long, slow evening rather than a quick meal. You also get a cookbook for two to take home with you.
As for the restaurant itself, 8 has a fair bit of weight behind it. It's recognised by Michelin, the AA, and various international publications, and it's considered to be in the top 10% of restaurants in the UK. It holds three AA Rosettes, won the British Restaurant Awards, and was named best restaurant in Liverpool.
