A screening of Walt Disney's 1961 animated classic about Pongo and Perdita and their quest to rescue their puppies, part of the Hyde & Seek family-friendly strand.
One Hundred and One Dalmatians is showing at Hyde Park Picture House on Friday 6 November, starting at 11:00. It's the 1961 Disney animated classic, directed by Clyde Geronimi, Hamilton Luske and Wolfgang Reitherman, with voices by Rod Taylor, J. Pat O'Malley and Betty Lou Gerson. The film runs an hour and nineteen minutes.
The story follows Pongo and Perdita, who become parents to fifteen puppies, all of whom are dognapped in London by Cruella De Vil. Powered by the 'Twilight Bark', Pongo leads a heroic cast of animal characters on a dramatic quest to bring them home. It's a blend of humour and adventure that's charmed generations, and the whole thing fits into a single morning session.
The screening is part of Hyde & Seek, the cinema's family-friendly strand run by Young Audiences Officer Sylvia with input from the Independent Cinema Office. The venue also offers accessible screenings, including Pay What You Can, toddler-friendly and autism-friendly sessions.
