Monthly free creative crafting session for adults at Leeds City Museum, with a different theme each time.
Keep Crafting kicks off at Leeds City Museum on Wednesday 4 November, and it's not a one-off — it runs monthly from there through to Wednesday 3 March 2027. It's a creative crafting session for adults, and the whole point is that you make something and take it home with you, so you leave with a finished piece rather than just a few scraps and a memory.
What makes it a regular thing is that there's a different theme each time. You're not just doing the same project over and over; each session brings something new to the table, which means if you enjoy the first one, you've got a reason to keep coming back. It's part of the museum's wider programme of hands-on activities, so it sits alongside other things to do rather than standing alone.
The sessions are aimed at adults, though the museum itself welcomes visitors of all ages, so it's a space for grown-ups to get stuck into something creative without having to worry about the kids. If you've spent most of your week staring at a screen, it's a decent excuse to spend a few hours working with your hands instead.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Leeds and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's free on a 'Give What You Can' basis, so you don't need a ticket to get in — you just contribute what you're able to. The museum is right in the city centre, so it's an easy trip in for a Wednesday. The first session is 4 November, and from there it runs once a month until 3 March.
