Intimate tribute show in which Tyson Kelly plays John Lennon and runs through his catalogue with a five-piece live band.
Imagine Lennon comes to City Varieties Music Hall on Saturday 24 October, a John Lennon tribute show presented by Neil O'Brien Entertainment. It's an evening dedicated to Lennon's legacy, fronted by Tyson Kelly and backed by a five-piece live band.
Kelly has spent more than 15 years in the role. He played Lennon in Broadway's Let It Be and spent seven years as the lead in The Bootleg Beatles, the UK and world number-one Beatles tribute. That background brings together a natural vocal timbre and a striking visual resemblance to Lennon, with the energy he had in his youth. The show runs through Lennon's catalogue, from Please Please Me to Double Fantasy, and draws on first-hand stories along the way.
There's a bit of family history to it too: Kelly's father, Tom Kelly, co-wrote Madonna's 'Like a Virgin' and Cyndi Lauper's 'True Colors'. The production is presented by Neil O'Brien Entertainment.
