Taika Waititi's 2016 New Zealand comedy 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople' returns in 4K for its 10th anniversary at Hyde Park Picture House.
Hunt for the Wilderpeople is back at Hyde Park Picture House this November, returning in 4K to mark its tenth anniversary. It's a 2016 New Zealand comedy directed by Taika Waititi, and it runs for an hour and forty-one minutes. The story follows Ricky, a defiant city kid who runs away into the wild New Zealand bush with his cantankerous foster uncle, played by the late Sam Neill. The two end up sparking a national manhunt that forces them to work together, and the film is rated 12A.
Waititi wrote and directed this after Flight of the Conchords, and it landed well with the critics. The Guardian called Sam Neill 'warm and wise', and Empire noted the film's ability to make you 'honk like a goose on nitrous oxide'. If you've missed it, it's a good place to start with Waititi's work.
