A live music gig where Harriet performs new interpretations of 1970s sounds and nostalgic original material from her album 'Trying To Get The Feeling Again'.
Harriet plays City Varieties Music Hall on Saturday 17 October, her first Leeds date since her sold-out UK tour in 2025. The night follows the release of her new album, Trying To Get The Feeling Again, and she'll be performing with her live band.
There's a bit of a story behind the new material. Harriet's recent single 'Mountain' was co-written with John Bettis, who wrote some of The Carpenters' biggest hits, including 'Top Of The World', 'Goodbye To Love' and 'Yesterday Once More'. That connection to the 1970s runs through the whole set: she performs new interpretations of her favourite sounds from that era, woven in with her own nostalgic original material. The evening is built around the new album, Trying To Get The Feeling Again, so you'll hear the new songs alongside those 70s-inspired covers.
City Varieties is a family-friendly venue, and parental guidance is recommended. It's well-equipped for accessibility, with an accessible toilet, audio tours, baby changing, a hearing aid loop and wheelchair access, and guide dogs are welcome. The show starts at 7:30pm and runs for about two hours, including an interval.
