Animated film Coyote vs. Acme shown at Hyde Park Picture House, with autism-friendly and accessible screenings available.
Coyote vs. Acme is playing at Hyde Park Picture House on Saturday 7 November and Sunday 8 November, as part of the cinema's Hyde & Seek family-film strand. It's an animated adventure that runs an hour and 43 minutes, and if you're heading in on the Saturday, there's a pre-film drop-in activity from 10:30am.
The story follows Wile E. Coyote, who's finally had enough of being blown up by explosive ACME products while chasing the uncatchable Road Runner. He decides to fight back and teams up with lawyer Kevin Avery to do it. The film is described as funny, quirky and as physics-defying as Wile E.'s lifelong chase of the Road Runner, and it's distributed by Altitude Film Distribution. Dave Green directed, with Will Forte, Lana Condor and John Cena on the voice cast; Buddy Crane plays Kevin's slick nemesis.
Because it's part of the Hyde & Seek strand, there are a few different ways to see it. Sunday mornings in Screen Two are autism-friendly, with prompt start times, raised lighting, reduced volume and a relaxed attitude to noise and moving around. Capacity is reduced for those, so pre-booking is advised. There are also accessible screenings, including Pay What You Can, free tickets, toddler-friendly, audio description and captioned options. The cinema has an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities on site.
