An evening of new short films about British-Jewish life across the UK, followed by a Q&A.
British-Jewish Life on Film comes to the Hyde Park Picture House on Tuesday 1 December, starting at 18:15. It's an evening of brand-new films commissioned by the UK Jewish Film Festival's Film Factory, with stories coming from the length and breadth of the country. The whole thing is a mix of mini-documentaries and short dramas, and the screening is followed by a Q&A.
The line-up is a long one, with ten films in total: King of the Jews, Rambling, Rachel Jone Needs a Boyfriend, Not a Bat-Mitzvah, The Last Jewel, The Dead Parent Club, Oslo Court, Mizrahi Mismatch, The Goyfriend, and Fish, Chips & Faith. The UKJF describe the programme as a way to show the diversity of the Jewish community across the UK, so it's a fair spread of voices rather than one single perspective. The mix of documentary and drama means you'll get a bit of everything in one sitting, and the Q&A afterwards gives you a chance to hear more from the people behind them.
