Berlin-based Swiss indie pop musician Anna Erhard plays Project House in Leeds on her '1000 Sheep Tour', with her new single '1000 Sheep'.
Anna Erhard plays Project House on Saturday 6 March, part of her 1000 Sheep Tour across the UK and Europe in February and March 2027. The Berlin-based Swiss indie pop musician is touring her new album, 1000 Sheep, which is due out in February, just before the dates start. The first taste of it is the single '1000 Sheep', the title track that shares its name with the record.
Erhard has built a reputation as one of the more distinctive voices in European indie pop, and the description of her sound gives a good sense of where she sits: she blends the laid-back spirit of Kurt Vile with the inventive charm of early Beck, pairing distorted guitars and lo-fi keyboards with witty storytelling. It's that combination of slacker-rock leanings and a sharp eye for a lyric that sets her apart from the more polished end of the indie pop spectrum.
This isn't her first run of shows. Her third studio album, Botanical Garden (2024), was widely acclaimed across Europe and led to sold-out UK and European tours, a Glastonbury Festival appearance and strong BBC 6 Music support, including live sessions at London's Maida Vale Studios. 1000 Sheep marks a new chapter, and this tour is the first time she'll be playing the new material live.
