Author Travis Baldree talks about his book 'Tales from the Territory', answers questions and signs copies at Waterstones Leeds.
Travis Baldree is coming to Waterstones Leeds on Saturday 24 October, his first time in the city. He's a #1 New York Times bestselling author and a Locus, Nebula and Hugo finalist, and he's visiting to celebrate Tales from the Territory, a deluxe collection of cosy short stories set in the world of the Legends & Lattes series. The book is finished with bespoke full-page colour illustrations and endpapers, and the evening is built around it.
Before he started writing, Baldree spent decades designing and building video games like Torchlight, Rebel Galaxy and Fate. He's also a full-time audiobook narrator who has lent his voice to hundreds of stories, so he's as comfortable speaking to a room as he is on the page. He lives in the Pacific Northwest and has written Legends & Lattes, Bookshops & Bonedust and Brigands & Breadknives.

The session runs about two and a half hours: 45 minutes of Baldree speaking, 15 minutes of audience questions, and then a signing. It's a long one, so you'll have plenty of time to hear him talk and then get your book signed afterwards. The event is sold out, but for those who managed to get a ticket, it starts at 19:00, with doors open from 18:45 at Waterstones on Albion Street, Leeds LS1 5JS. General admission was £8, and the book and ticket bundle — which includes the Tales from the Territory hardback — was £24.
