Stand-up show by Taskmaster alumnus Amy Gledhill, winner of the 2024 Edinburgh Comedy Award, at the City Varieties.
Amy Gledhill brings her stand-up show Thanks For Having Me to City Varieties Music Hall on Saturday 10 April 2027. It's a solo night from a comic who's spent as much time on the podcast and TV circuit as she has on stage, and the title itself feels like a nod to that: the guest who's turned up and made themselves at home.
If you've only come across her through the screen, there's a fair bit to go on. She's a Taskmaster alumnus and co-hosts the podcasts Single Ladies In Your Area and Northern News. On the TV side, she's appeared on Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie To You?, The Jonathan Ross Show, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Netflix's Run Away, Alma's Not Normal, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She's also one third of the cult double act The Delightful Sausage.
That stage work is where the awards sit. She won an Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2024, is a triple Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, and a National Comedy Award nominee. The critics have been pretty direct about it, too: The Independent called her stand-up "destined for greatness" and The Times described it as "jaw-droppingly good".
