First session of a three-week computer and technology class series on internet basics, web navigation and security for adults.
The Internet Toolkit kicks off at the Nora Branch on Tuesday, November 3, from 2 PM to 4 PM. It's the first session of a three-week computer and technology class series designed to give adults a solid foundation for using the web in everyday life. Each week stands as a separate session, so you can drop in for the one that fits your needs or stick around for the whole run.
This first class covers browser basics and how to navigate a website, the kind of fundamental stuff that makes everything else easier. The second session moves into specific searches, keyboard shortcuts, and security basics like secure passwords and two-factor authentication. The third takes in browser customization, printing from the internet, and your digital footprint. Between them, they cover a good stretch of what it takes to feel comfortable and secure online.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Indianapolis and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

There's one practical thing to keep in mind: you'll need to be experienced with a mouse and keyboard to get the most out of it. The series is made possible by The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, and it's hosted at the Nora Branch, which opened in 1971 on North Guilford Avenue and was expanded to 18,500 square feet in 1990. The first session runs from 2 PM to 4 PM on Tuesday, November 3, at 8625 Guilford Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
