Mixed-age play and learning session with Gymboree for babies and toddlers aged 6 to 36 months, with sensory play and songs.
Gymboree is bringing its Play & Learn session to the Southport Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Wednesday, November 18, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. It's a half-hour session led by a Gymboree expert, built around sensory play, songs, and the beginnings of social play. The mixed-age format is one of its hallmarks: younger children benefit from watching the older ones, while the older children get to be leaders, making it a good fit for siblings or for children and adults to grow together. The session is open to babies and toddlers aged 6 to 36 months.
Registration opens on Wednesday, November 4, at 10:30 AM, so you'll want to have your spot set a couple of weeks before the session itself. The program is made possible by the Everwise Foundation through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

If you haven't spent much time there, the Southport Branch has a bit of history behind it. It started back in 1967 as a small storefront in the Madison Square Shopping Center; the current 15,700-square-foot library opened in 1974 on East Stop 11 Road. That's where you'll find the session on November 18, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
