Mixed-age session for babies and toddlers to explore sensory play, songs and the beginnings of social play with an expert from Gymboree.
Gymboree is bringing its play and learn program to the Wayne Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Tuesday, November 10, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. It's a short session, but it packs in a lot for the little ones: babies and toddlers get introduced to sensory play, songs, and the first steps of social play, all led by a Gymboree expert.
One of the things that makes this session work is the mixed-age format. Younger children get to watch the older ones, and the older kids get a chance to be leaders. That makes it a good fit if you've got siblings who can come together, or if you're just looking for a spot where children and adults can grow together. It's the kind of thing that feels natural when you're there—the different ages just sort of slot into place.

The program is made possible by the Everwise Foundation through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, so it's a community-supported thing. If you're in the neighborhood and have a baby or toddler, it's a low-pressure way to get them moving and singing with other kids. It runs from 10:30 to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 10, at the Wayne Branch.
