A workshop where participants create a native plant vision board and receive personalised advice on what to grow, leaving with a finished board and native seeds.
Native Garden Vision Boards is happening at the Indianapolis Public Library West Perry Branch on Friday, October 16, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It's a workshop for anyone who wants to get a head start on their garden for next year.
The whole session is built around the idea that autumn is actually one of the best times to plan for native plants. While most of us think of gardening as a spring thing, the workshop frames this as a great fall task. You'll spend the morning putting together a native plant vision board, and as you go, you'll map out exactly what you'd like to grow in your own space. There's personalized advice along the way, so if you're not sure which plants work best for your yard or your neighborhood, you can get some guidance while you work.
You'll leave with two things: your finished vision board to keep as a plan for the coming seasons, and a packet of native seeds to sow this fall. The seeds are meant for the here and now, not just for next year, so you can get something in the ground before the weather turns.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Indianapolis and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
