Music Bingo at Punch Bowl Social

Music Bingo is a weekly thing at Punch Bowl Social, and the next two sessions are Thursday, November 19, and Thursday, December 17, both from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's run by SLI Audio, and if you've never played, it's part name-that-tune, part bingo: you listen to clips of songs, mark them off your card, and go for the win. There are prizes each week for the music snobs and the lucky guessers, and drink specials to go with them.

It's a low-stakes way to spend a Thursday night downtown. You don't need to be a walking encyclopedia to get into it—half the fun is just singing along with everyone else when a song you recognize finally comes up. If you're the type who always knows the track before the first chorus hits, this is your time to shine. If you're just there for the music and the company, it works just as well.

The venue is Punch Bowl Social at 120 S Meridian St, a 20,250-square-foot complex in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. It's a big one, pairing bowling, karaoke, and other games with scratch-made food and craft cocktails. It sits near Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, so it's easy to get to from just about anywhere in the city. If you're planning to hang around after the bingo, keep in mind that Fridays and Saturdays are open to all ages until 10 PM, after which the floor goes 21+.

Entry is free, so you can just show up and play. The sessions run from 7 PM to 9 PM on Thursday, November 19, and Thursday, December 17, at Punch Bowl Social.
