Free in-store kids' craft session at Michaels to make chenille stem ghosts or spiders for Halloween.
Participating Michaels Stores across Indianapolis are hosting a free kids' craft event on Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM to 11 AM. It's part of their Lil' Witching Hours series, which is just their name for the kids' activities they run around Halloween.
The project is simple: kids make their own chenille stem ghosts or spiders. If you're not familiar, chenille stems are those fuzzy pipe cleaners that are easy for small hands to bend and twist, so it's a good fit for younger children who might still be working on their fine motor skills. They'll get to choose between the two—a little ghost or a spider—and walk away with something they actually made themselves.
Since it's a free event, it's an easy way to get the kids doing something creative on a Saturday morning without spending a dime. It runs for an hour, so you can drop in, let them build their ghost or spider, and be on your way. If you've got a few little ones, it's a low-pressure way to burn some energy before the rest of your weekend takes over.
