Free hands-on robotics and coding workshop for kids ages 8-12, where they build a robot to take home.
Kids Explore Robotics is happening at the Garfield Park Burrello Family Center this Saturday, October 17, from 1 PM to 3 PM. It's aimed at kids ages 8 to 12, so it's a good fit for the elementary and middle school crowd.
The whole afternoon is built around robotics and coding. The kids work through hands-on projects, which means they're actually building and programming rather than just watching someone else do it. The best part is that they get to take home the robot they build, so the work they do during the session doesn't just stay at the center—it goes back with them.

It's a free event, but registration is required, so you'll want to sign up ahead of time rather than just showing up. The session runs for two hours, from 1 PM to 3 PM, at the Burrello Family Center in Garfield Park.
