80th edition of the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival, a week of Halloween events in the Irvington neighbourhood, culminating in the Street Fair on October 31.
The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival returns to Irvington this October, running from Saturday, October 24 through Saturday, October 31. This is the 80th edition of the festival, a week-long celebration that's been held in one of Indianapolis's most historic neighborhoods for eight decades. It's put on by neighbors, local businesses, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters, and it brings together thousands of residents, dozens of neighborhood organizations, and plenty of Eastside businesses. The organizers say it's designed to raise awareness of the community, support local businesses and sponsors, and provide fun for people of all ages.
The week kicks off on Saturday, October 24, with the Halloween Ball at the Irvington Lodge starting at 8 PM, which is 21+. On Monday, October 26, there's a Family Movie Night at Crystal Creek Farm at 7 PM. Tuesday, October 27, brings a Horror Shorts movie night to Kan-Kan Cinema. Wednesday, October 28, features an Art Auction at the Irvington Public Library starting at 6:30 PM, also 21+. Frightseeing Tours are on the schedule too, though the details are still to be determined.

Everything leads up to Saturday, October 31, when the festival reaches its peak. That morning is for the Irvington Vampire Run 5K and the Little Bat Dash for kids 12 and under. Then there's the Street Fair, which runs from 10 AM to 4 PM and is billed as the epic conclusion to the festivities, with spooky treats, unique shops, and thrilling entertainment. The festival also offers plenty of volunteer opportunities and relies on donations to keep the tradition going. If you're planning to go, the Street Fair is the one day that pulls the whole neighborhood together.
