Demo-based class by Marion County Public Health Nutrition Services on easy and tasty ways to add more fiber to daily meals.
Fiber Maxxing is coming to the Warren Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Wednesday, October 21, from 12 PM to 1 PM. It's a demo-based class run by Marion County Public Health Nutrition Services, and it's one of two health topics the agency is bringing to the library this fallβthe other is Meal Planning Made Simple.
The session is built around easy, tasty ways to add more fiber to your daily meals. It also makes the case that fiber does more than just keep you full: it supports healthy digestion, balances blood sugar, and can help with weight management. Since it's a demo-based class, you'll see how it actually works in practice rather than just hearing about it.
The Warren Branch itself is a 16,000-square-foot library serving Warren Township. It opened in 1974 next to Lakeside Elementary School, closed for seven months after a fire in 1979, and went through a $1.1 million renovation completed in 2016βits first major overhaul since it first opened. The program is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
